i just found out last weekend that my brothers friend will go back to iraq in 2006 he was already there for 6mo last year! he wants to go as an officer! i hope this is all over before then so he doesnt have to go! i love him to no end as a friend, but its hard b/c im anti-war. bless all!

I hope your friend remains safe over in Iraq. War is always hard and if you're for it or against it, We need to always support our soldiers...if it weren't for them we would not have our freedom today!
Our prayers are with those solders and there families.

yeah i def support all yalls! i just am thankful my bro quit when he did a day BEFORE 11 sept. to tell the truth i was pissed he quit b/c i was like OMG itd be so cool to have someone in my family serve, but thaT QUICKLY changed! i couldnt think of him over there, i love him to much! i saw a dude in the train station in full army uniform, i think hed just gotten back:( im the kind of person if i see someone in uniform ill go out of my way and thank them. i love alambamas 40 hour week-its so true

I have been an Air Force Special Forces wife for over 20 years, I have learned that these soldiers love what they do, and the best support you can give them is your love, letters, and knowing you will be there when they return. Be proud and hang in there, without them we would not have our freedoms

First off, Welcome Terri to the forums!! Second off is I totally agree with you...without the soldiers we wouldn't have our freedom and that is why I will always support our miltary!!

I also agree with you. Plus, a lot can change in a year, so maybe it will be a peacekeeping mission by then, and he'll not be in harms way.
