Rascal Flatts bassist-vocalist Jay DeMarcus is in the recording studio to produce an album for the band Chicago. DeMarcus and Rascal Flatts bandmates Joe Don Rooney and Gary LeVox are friends with Chicago lead singer Jason Scheff and have written songs with him. Scheff sang at DeMarcus' wedding in 2004. "Chicago was a big influence on all three of us growing up," DeMarcus said. "I admire their musical integrity. When the opportunity came up to produce them, I couldn't let it go by."
