Hey there! I was just wondering when you think of country music, what;s the song that first comes to mind. Besided any of Josh's songs. Mine would have to be John Micheal Montgomery's song that goes:
Hey pretty lady won't ya give me a sign
I'd give anything to make you mine all mine
I'd do ya biddin' and be at your beckin' call
Well I ain't never seen anyone looking do fine
Man I gotta have her she's a one of a kind
I'm going once, going twice
I'm sold to lady second row
She's got ruby red lips
blonde hair blue eyes
I'm about to bid my heart goodbye
I'm not sure of the song title, but I guess I think of this song cuz it stands out in my mind. I love how fast it is! _________________ VISIT MY JOURNAL AND COMMENT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I think of country music... hmmm... I have to say it makes me think of all the twangy stuff thats like REALLY country... like Garth Brooks.. George Strait...and Kyle Jennings. I'm just not really a fan of some of the newer artists who have a pop sound to their country songs. For me it has to be full country sound. I just prefer that kind of sound to country because I'm originally from Texas and have been listening to country my whole life and this newer country now doesn't have the country sound it used to. Well I mean for some artists its still the same but with some of these new artists that have a pop sound to it.. just no. lol Also, I prefer the twangy stuff because I'm a cowgirl and being I've listening to country almost my whole life. Like Josh, he sounds country! Kyle Jennings sounds country! George Strait sounds country! Alan Jackson sounds country! I'm sure you get my drift. lol But there's one specific song of Kyle's its like the absolute perfect country song... love the sound and everything, perfect voice! _________________ ::Hugs:: and **Kisses**,

you mean the song "Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks(can not stand them but they have a few songs that are okay) ?
I don't think of A SONG when country music is talked about so much as I think of artists... Garth Brooks and Josh Gracin immediately come to mind... as do Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Faith Hill, Reba McIntire, Lonestar, Brad Paisley... etc... _________________

Songwise...I'd say "Tell Lorie I love her" By Keith Whitley! AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME SONG!!!!
Artist wise, I'd say Merle Haggard, George Jones, Keith Whitley, Bob Wills, Whitey Schafer, and Johnny Paycheck. I love the traditional stuff...Buddy Owens also comes to mind because he's introduced me to alot of these artists, and sounds alot like them. I also like Josh Gracin, Buddy Jewell, Keith Urban, and Lance Miller. _________________ "It ain't easy being simple with a complicated woman, I wouldn't have it any other way...." |

I have loved country music all my life even when I was listen all the pop music of the 80's I still loved country.. so when I think of country music I could name alot of people and songs but one that sticks out because of the question is "I was country when country wasnt cool" by Barbara Mandrell. I think Kenny Chesney, Josh Gracin, and other artists but song wise I think of "Do you Love Me" by George Strait and "Iknow What Love is" by Clay Walker..... _________________ Leigh
