New Song Lyrics for Josh

Hello,
I loved Josh from the first moment I saw him on American Idol. I was partial at first because Marine Moms consider each Marine as their own Son. But after I saw his smile and heard him sing I was hooked because of his Talent. The obvious love he showed for his Wife and Family was a welcome bonus.
I wrote a Patriotic Song called "Keep A Candle In The Window". I would like Josh to hear it before I offer it to any other artist. If he is interested please forward my e-mail address to him.

Ralph and Country01,

Thanks for your support. This song is about what a Soldier tells his (Wife/Grilfriend/Mom) as he is about to ship off to war. I think it would have so much impact sung by an actual Marine. It is a combination of some of the things we (Marine Moms Online) actualy did to show our support for the military.
Keeping my fingers crossed he or his manager at least gets to see it.

I am sure glad Josh has made a debut with this song. I have found this so touching for what is happening in my life. I am starting all over and this song definitely makes me think to myself "I Want to Live."

Unfortunately, I did not get to see Josh on American Idol. This last season is when I got interested in it. When I heard Josh Gracin on GAC, I was hooked, which I'm sure everybody is once they just look at him. Then when I heard he was a Marine that definitely wheeled me in. I'm from a family of Marines and have many friends that are in the USMC.

Hi Becky,
It is hard to start over. I am glad Josh's song is helping you. That's what realy makes a song, if you can relate to it. A great song just reaches out and strokes your soul. I was impressed with the way Josh handled Simons snide remarks on Idol (of course I think it's Simons job to be nasty. lol)
The push-up chalenge cracked me up. No way could Simon keep up with a Marine. Josh just grinned as Simon was wearing out. Josh probley does more push-ups than that just to warm up for PT. lol
God Bless You as you continue your new life. This is what I always tell my Sons, God does not close one door without opening another, just have the courage to walk through.

Oh wow! I LOVE IT!!! That song, actually just the verse, is very powerful. it actually brought a tear to my eye! That proves something about the song right there! I would love to see a video for this one on CMT one day! Wow! I LOVE IT!

Thank You so much for the kind words. I have only sang this one time in front of a party for my Son while he was on leave, there were a lot of musicians there playing music from Rock to the Blues and my FAVORITE, Country, but I kinda got the same reaction. The last verses had them laughing and cheering with tears streaming down their faces as everybody was singing by now. I won't reveal those verses yet, but just for YOU here is the second verse.

wow! that didn't just bring a tear to my eye! I started crying! tears down the cheeks! i know if it can touch me, a 12 year old, it can touch people of all ages! I really hope Josh can sing this song! did u just write lyrics or did you put notes with them? i write lyrics and I can sing the song they way I want it to sound, i juct can't play a guitar with it or put notes with it. What do you do! I love your song! it's very moving!

I have always love music. Being a single Mom of 3 Sons, I had to work outside the home alot to put food on the table. By the Grace of God I was always able to make sure we had plenty of fun times. Playing the radio and dancing around the house. We would save any extra nickles and dimes to make a trip to Wal-Mart to buy a new favorite tape.I always improvised silly lyrics just to hear my Sons laughter. This was cheap intertainment and I didn't realy understand how much they loved it untill they grew up. Due to a back injury I was not able to work. I was broke last Christmas so decided to write some songs for my Sons Christmas present. I did not read music so I found some sites on the internet that helped me. Then I just got on e-bay and bought a cheap mandolin first and taught myself to play it. I did the same with a Guitar. I am now learning Banjo. You can do it too! At 12 you are way ahead of me. With practice you will soon be picking out the major chords. I was 50 before I started. I am now 51. I will be glad to help you anyway I can. Remember if you want something bad enough just work hard and stay with it, NEVER give up your dreams and they will come true.

Hey Marine Mom... song sounds like it is awesome. Would love to hear where that will be recorded. Smile

I know it would be HUGE hit here in the Norfolk/Va Beach area with all our miliatry families.

Keep us updated on how it is coming to get it recorded. When it is..I would love to get a copy to make sure our station is one of the first to play it.
