Hey all I got a job!!!! I'm working as a cashier at a local grocery store making pretty decent money too as starting pay!!! Now I don't know how it is for all of you, but usually out here it's hard to get into a grocery store and if you do you usually start at the lowest level (like cart person) and work your way up.....so I'm very happy I got in as a cashier. It's part time and I'm training this week!! Learning the produce seems to be the biggest pain, but other than that so far everything is going good except for the fact that I have to drive to a different store to train---not the one I'll actually be working at so I leave at like 7am and don't get home till like 6pm cause it's a long drive and I have to pick up Ashley, etc...so it makes for long days. Starting next week I'll be at my store so it'll be much better!!! _________________ ~Becky Nowak (site admin)

Congratulations, Becky! sounds like you got in to a good job . . .I hope you enjoy it. Sometimes it's fun to meet and greet lots of folks, but people can be cranky, too! I'm sure your smile will brighten every shoppers' day!!
Good luck with the training!! _________________ Susan, the old neighbor "three doors down."

Thanks Susan and Missy.
I made it through my training week...it was long!! I worked only 8 hour days but with the drive and all I'd leave the house around 7am and not get home till 6:30 pm, so it didn't leave me time for much else besides helping Ashley with homework type thing.
This week I actually start at my work place which is only 15min from where I live. I'm excited but I haven't really worked in a long time so it'll take some getting use too. _________________ ~Becky Nowak (site admin)

Wow, those are some long days!!!!
I've been working 11:00 a.m to 7:30 p.m. shifts for the past couple weeks, I hope the customers you get to deal with are more pleasant than the ones I get!!!!! _________________
