THE OTHER LITTLE SOLDIER AS NEXT SINGLE

I HOPE!!!! I think it's perfect timing because if it comes out late in the summer, he will be singing it around the time of September 11 (maybe even when he performs on tv??) and that would honor so many kids.

I think this would be a nice song to release, but not right now... and there is only ONE reason why I say this. I am on other message boards (several ) and a lot of them talk about Josh in their "Off-Topic" places on their boards and a LOT of them have asked what Josh's next single will be. When someone mentions the possibility of The Other Little Soldier being the next single, they kind of shy away from the idea. They've all always had a reason, and they've ALL been the same... there has been a lot of patriotic / soldier songs released since September 11, and a lot of people (I'm not saying I am one or anyone on this board is one) are "tired" of those kind of songs. I, personally, think it would be a great song to release and would make a great video in the future, but right now I think he should release another song... but in the future, I think this would be a wonderful song to release as a single.

Ah, but none of the other patriotic songs has represented the children. I think the reason we hear lots of songs about soldiers and patriotism is because it is the job of music to chronicle the times in which we are living--which right now is a time of war. It is now that children are suffering the losses . . . [/img]

I'm not saying that it isn't a wonderful song and that I wouldn't like seeing him release the song, I am just saying that other people who aren't part of Josh's major fan-base said they would prefer him to release something other than that. I just want something that other artists fans would appreciate that would perhaps turn them into bigger Josh fans.

I agree with Jennifer. Also there are people that claim when an artist does that they are only playing on the emotions/feelings of the moment to make a buck or hit. I don't want anyone to think that of Josh. He is too talented for that. I agree it is an awesome song and one that should be released but just not now. Not until he is built himself up more and maybe had his first #1. Let that first one show every one is pure talent where they dont have room to put him down for "playing the times". He has many many songs on this CD that would make incredible releases. His next single is just as important if not more important then his first... and I don't want anyone to have any reasons to say he doesnt deserve that #1 spot.
